Anyone can edit a PDF. Nobody can edit the check.

Nyvarra signs every certificate you send and prints a QR code on it. Scan the code and the issuer's own record answers: who issued it, who earned it, and whether a single letter has changed.

Why a PDF isn't proof

  1. 2 minutes

to change the name on a PDF certificate. Any PDF editor does it, and the copy looks exactly like the original.

  2. 2 weeks

to hear back, if you write to the office that issued it. So most people never ask, and take the PDF on trust.

  3. 1 scan

with Nyvarra. The code on the paper opens the issuer's own record, and a changed name doesn't match it.

What a scan checks

Not a copy of the certificate. The record behind it.

The QR code opens the issuer's signed record on Nyvarra, and what's printed is compared with what was issued. Nobody has to take the paper's word for it, or ours.

  • Issuers are reviewed. A person checks an organization before its name can appear on a certificate.
  • Every certificate is signed. Change one letter and the signature no longer matches.
  • Corrections stay visible. A corrected certificate points to its replacement. A withdrawn one says so.

Certificate Studio

Design it like a poster. Send it like a mail merge.

Studio is an editor made only for certificates. Start from the collection or your own artwork, set the fields once, and every name on your list gets its own certificate. Long names shrink to fit instead of running off the edge.

Need something specific? Browse the templates, or ask us to design yours, free.

  • Your own artworkImport a PDF or image. Studio finds the fields already printed on it.
  • Fields that fill themselvesNames, dates and your own columns, set once for the whole list.
  • Signatures in inkDrawn with a mouse or a finger, not typed in a script font.
  • Your typefacesUpload your fonts, mix weights, and keep text on the grid.
  • LayersFrames, ornaments and images, arranged like a design tool.
  • Ready for printA4 or Letter, either way round, with a safe area for the printer.

Sending

142 people. One button.

Every certificate is signed and emailed when you press send. The log shows each inbox, and an address with a typo is fixed and resent from the same screen.

  1. Attendee list uploaded. Email typos flagged before anything goes out.
  2. Previewed with the longest name on the list.
  3. Sent.

On the day

Certificates for the people who came. Not everyone who registered.

Check people in at the door or with a code on the projector, give speakers and volunteers their own certificates, and hold each one until the feedback form is done.

  • Door scanners on volunteers' own phones, even on bad Wi-Fi
  • A different certificate for each role, in one set
  • Feedback before certificates, anonymous by default

After it's sent

Still checkable when the event is long forgotten.

For the person who earned it

Every certificate, in one Passport.

Recipients keep what they earn on Nyvarra, and Open Badges from anywhere else, in a free Passport. They decide what's public and share one link instead of a screenshot.
