Running a conference
Start where NRIC is now.
Check-in, roles, certificates that say what each person did, and a register that carries on from one conference year to the next.

Case study · 2026
The National Research and Innovation Conference at King Edward Medical University was the first organisation to bring its certificates to Nyvarra, and the first to connect its own platform through the Issuer API. Participants still sign in at NRIC. Every certificate behind it is signed, held and checked on Nyvarra.
How it works
Participants never had to learn a new website, and NRIC's team kept the tools it already runs. Signing, storing, serving and checking the certificates happen on Nyvarra, through the same Issuer API any organisation can use.
Participants sign in at NRIC, exactly as before.
NRIC's platform asks for each person's certificates by serial.
Every certificate signed, held and served as it stands today.

Moved exactly as issued
NRIC's name is on every one of these certificates, so the move had one rule: nothing a holder or a checker relies on would change.
When someone checks
Any phone camera will do. The page shows who issued the certificate, to whom, for what, and whether it still stands, straight from the register.
NRIC's original signature on the record, and Nyvarra's countersignature beside it. Change one letter of the certificate and neither would hold.
Drop a downloaded copy on the verify page. The browser fingerprints the file without uploading it and finds its match, including copies downloaded before the move.
What's on the register
Delegates, workshop attendees, presenters, the organising team, ambassadors, facilitators and reviewers each keep their own serial family, so a serial still says what kind of certificate it is.
109 certificates had no email address on file. They moved by serial like the rest, ready for their holders to claim into a Nyvarra Passport.
3,875
certificates for 2,677 people
The record so far
Since the switch-over began, every check of an NRIC certificate has confirmed the original, and no one has reported an NRIC certificate as suspicious. Each certificate is signed, so an edited copy can't pass for the real one.
Counted on 16 October 2026.
How it went
Each step was checked before the next, and NRIC's own system kept every record throughout.

NRIC was the first organisation to bring its existing certificates to Nyvarra, and the first to connect its own platform through the Issuer API. Much of what Nyvarra now offers organisations with a history of certificates began with that work.
Yes. They sign in at NRIC and find their certificates there, as before. NRIC's platform reads them from Nyvarra through the Issuer API, so a correction made on Nyvarra shows on NRIC's site too.
Yes. The issuer is NRIC at King Edward Medical University, and NRIC's own signed record sits under every certificate. Nyvarra holds the register and adds its countersignature.
Yes. Old verify links forward to nyvarra.app, and anyone can type the serial at nyvarra.app/verify or drop the PDF on that page. Download a fresh copy from NRIC's dashboard or your Nyvarra Passport whenever you like.
Yes. The Issuer API lets your own system look up your certificates by serial and show them where your people already sign in.
