Create an account, confirm your email and recover sign-in

Resolve unconfirmed email, expired links and forgotten passwords without losing track of the account holding your certificates.

Your sign-in identifies your account. That account can keep certificates in Passport and, with the appropriate access, work in an issuer workspace. Use the intended email consistently so you do not accidentally create another account while trying to recover the first.

Create and confirm an account

  1. Open Sign in and choose Create account.
  2. Choose whether your immediate purpose is receiving or issuing, then provide the requested account details.
  3. Choose a password with at least eight characters, including a letter and a number. A unique password is safer than reusing one from another site.
  4. Open the confirmation message sent to that address and complete the email confirmation.
  5. Return to sign-in and complete onboarding for the purpose you chose.

If the account is not confirmed

The sign-in screen can offer a new confirmation link for the unconfirmed address. Check spelling, spam and the newest message. If a link has expired or was already used, request a fresh one through the appropriate flow rather than changing URL parameters or sending the link to someone else.

Reset a forgotten password

  1. Choose Forgot password on the sign-in screen.
  2. Enter the email used for the account.
  3. Open the reset link in that inbox and choose a new password.
  4. Sign in and complete the authenticator step if two-step sign-in is enabled.
  5. Check that the resulting Passport or organization workspace is the account you intended to recover.

When sign-in succeeds but certificates are missing

This is often an address or workspace mismatch rather than a password problem. Check the recipient address used by the issuer and add a verified email or claim the certificate. For issuer work, check team membership and the active organization. Resetting a password does not automatically connect awards sent to a different inbox.

Support will not need your password, reset link, authenticator secret or backup codes. For loss of the second factor, follow two-step recovery.
