Find your way around the issuer workspace

Understand sets, certificate types, People, Design, Send and the difference between draft, active and archived work.

A set holds certificates for one event, course, team or other purpose. Within it, certificate types distinguish awards such as Participant, Speaker and Winner. The issuer workspace is where staff prepare and manage those records; Passport is where recipients keep their own awards.

Choose the right starting point

When creating certificates, choose what they are for: an event, course, competition, team, community service, honour, placement or something else. This changes suggested wording, fields and the tools shown first. It does not mean a team set can never use attendance or an event can never have several certificate types.

The tabs inside a set

  • Overview: see progress and the next available action.
  • People: review everyone, add or import recipients, connect sources and inspect import history.
  • Design: choose designs, map fields and configure Certificate types and rules.
  • Send: review and issue, inspect issued certificates, or use Seal existing PDFs when available.
  • Attendance and Feedback: run participation checks and surveys. Depending on the set kind, optional tools may start under More tools.
  • Settings: manage set details, issuer, validity, hours and lifecycle; Past certificates is available here when entitled.

Draft, active and archived

Draft means preparation. A published design is needed before activation. Active means the set is available for the supported working steps, subject to permissions and issuer standing. Archived means it is retained but closed to new work that the product blocks for archived sets. Archiving is not withdrawal: issued certificates retain their own status.

If a control is missing

  1. Check which organization or personal issuer is active.
  2. Check whether the optional tool is under More tools.
  3. Check the set's lifecycle and the organization's approval status.
  4. Check your role and the plan's capability rather than assuming a navigation problem.
  5. If another teammate changed the set, reload before editing again.

Begin with your first send, or use send troubleshooting for a blocked step.
