Bring a design in from Canva

If you design certificates in Canva, keep designing there. Studio uses the Canva design as the certificate artwork, and you add the details that change for each person on top.

Download a PDF from Canva

1. In Canva, open the design and choose Share → Download. Pick PDF Print as the file type and, for a multi-page design, the page you want.
2. Open your design in Studio, go to Uploads and choose Certificate artwork. Select the PDF.
3. Check the page size and press Use this background. Studio looks for the name, dates and blank lines in the artwork and suggests fields; nothing is added until you accept.

Or connect Canva to Studio

When From Canva appears in Studio's Uploads panel, you can skip the download. Choose From Canva, allow Nyvarra in the Canva window that opens, then pick a design and a page. Canva exports it as a PDF and it lands in the same step as an upload.

• Nyvarra can only read your designs and export the one you choose. It never changes anything in your Canva account.
• The connection belongs to you, not your whole team. Choose Disconnect in the same window to end it; Canva then forgets Nyvarra's access too.
• Designs other people shared with you in Canva are listed as well, if Canva lets you export them.

Get the best result

• Leave sample wording such as Recipient Name where the real name should go. Where the paper behind it is one plain colour, Studio covers it with the field. On a pattern or photo, delete the sample text in Canva before importing.
• Size the Canva design like the certificate you will print, such as A4 or US Letter, so nothing is stretched.
• Leave a clear space for the verification QR code, which Studio adds.

The Canva design comes in as one piece of artwork. To change its wording, colours or layout later, change it in Canva and bring it in again.
